Hey guys!

Happycamel here, still battling ups and downs back in real life. Fortunately it is slowly getting better day by day, my feet are improving and I feel calm and grounded, trying to find happiness in the small things. Running and walking. Striving to live slow and keep the open space inside, spend time with my horses and plan for my next hike.

This weekend I packed my tent Agnes and my pack and headed out to the sea with a dear friend and my dogs. The evening was completely calm, no wind, and the sunset as pink as only a sunset can be. Just sitting in front of the fire watching a thunderstorm far away. Being still inside. Breathing. The feeling of bliss crawling into my tent and be warm in my sleeping bag. My dogs cuddled up beside me. Finally I rest. Waking to the daylight. To the rhythm of nature. Coffee out on the boulders in the morning. Happiness.

It is still difficult for me to relate to the pace of everyday life and all the disturbances. This former thru hiker explains how it feels so spot on! It describes my feelings perfectly. Are you a former hiker; watch it and get the feeling of being understood, it helps, are you a friend or family to a former hiker; watch it and maybe get a better understanding of how we're feeling.

In my quest to deal with my post trail depression I am trying to direct all my energy towards new hiking adventures and Happycamel's future possibilities. This has definitely had a positive effect and a lot of great things is happening for me these days. I am very excited to share it with you on my next blog!
