This is the section where you write about who you are. Difficult question. I guess that is what my quest is. Maybe. So who am I?

Well, I guess I am a seeker. A wanderer in search of signification. A human being seeking everything that is real. A restless soul often feeling captured in the existential panic of daily life and conformity. Endorphine-junkie. Passionate about true and open conversations with other people that are curious and adventurous; people that are not afraid to deep dive into all aspects of the mind. An earth-being that cannot exist without the sun and the sea, the divine forest and all things growing. The old souls of trees. The healing power of animals. Solitude and stillness of the mind. And laughter. Lots of laugher and gratitude. Trying to live life to the fullest and regret nothing.

I am in love with this quote from the book "On the road" written by the American beat poet Jack Kerouac. It found me some time ago and made me want to shout it from the mountaintops. It describes just everything I feel perfectly. The search for truth and madness.

" (..) the only people for me are the mad ones; the ones that are mad to live, made to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars."

I guess that is me. One of the mad ones. Belonging everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

Lately I have felt the need to practice feeling comfortable in being lost. Lost in the sense of living in the questions. To not always get the answers. That life is not about the answers, but asking the better questions. My longing for simplicity, wilderness and solitude has led me to the adventure of walking 1600 km on the Pacific Crest Trail through Oregon and Washington to Canada the summer of 2017. Just me, my backpack, my tent and nature. This summer I will return to my second home; the PCT and hike the Sierra Nevada mountains for 5 weeks together with my husband Simon.

In this blog I will share with you my preparations, my thoughts and the adventure and the people I meet on my hiking adventures. I really hope you will follow my journey. It would mean a lot!

Remember; it is only when you are lost that you are truly found.
